FiSH HEROES!

We are very proud of two of our volunteers Pam Dixon and Hubert Guidon, who were both nominated as local community heroes for their volunteering efforts on behalf of FiSH. They were invited to an Awards celebration organised by Richmond Council at Duke Baptist Church, which aimed to highlight the many inspirational individuals, groups and business who volunteer their time throughout the borough to support others and strengthen the local community.  Pam is one of our regular bus escorts and Hubert works tirelessly for our helpline, driving our members to appointments and to our many activities.  Of course we at FiSH already know the value of our many fabulous volunteers and recognise the incredible commitment that ALL of them make year-round for the older and more vulnerable residents in our community.  As Hubert put it “I’m not a hero because I really enjoy volunteering and being part of the great FiSH team”.  Congratulations to Pam, Hubert and the winners, but most of all THANK YOU to all of our FiSH volunteers.  As far as we’re concerned, you’re all heroes!
