We’re looking for new Trustees to join the FiSH Board. As a Trustee, you’d play a key role in shaping our strategic direction, helping to ensure we deliver on our goals, meet our responsibilities, and stay true to our mission.
Who we’re looking for:
We’re seeking Trustees who are passionate about our mission to combat loneliness and social isolation in the heart of our community. If you have some time on your hands and some knowledge or experience of governance, the law, IT, our transport or befriending operation, fundraising, HR, strategy implementation or elderly care and wellbeing – or you’d simply like to ask for more details – then we’d really like to hear from you.
We warmly welcome all applicants who meet the criteria for the roles, and are current FiSH volunteers, or would like to become volunteers in the future. We encourage applications from individuals of all socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds. We value diverse perspectives that ensure our leadership reflects the communities we work with.
As a minimum, we would ask you to attend four Board meetings each year, plus our AGM in July. We would also very much hope that you can spare the time to get involved beyond that – leading or being part of a committee, for example. We know that your time is precious, so we won’t ask too much, but we would hope that you would be committed to your role as a trustee. We would also encourage some training to help understanding of the role.
How to apply for more details:
If you are interested, or you would just like to get more details at this stage, then please do get in touch. We would love to talk to you.
Please email with details of your interest to our Chair of Trustees, Richard Williams, on Chair@fishhelp.org.uk.
Thank you – we look forward to hearing from you.
