BLOOMING BRILLIANT! – BARNES OPEN GARDENS

What a perfect day we had on Sunday 31st May for our FiSH Open Gardens.  Barnes came out in force and enjoyed a lovely sunny (not too hot!) afternoon discovering over 20 fabulous Barnes gardens. Our FiSH buses provided a hop-on, hop-off shuttle service to the gardens. In-between garden visiting, visitors sat on tables outside Barnes Green Centre, listening to live music from the fabulous Barnes Concert Band, drinking Pimm’s or enjoying cream teas, coffee and cake.  Pure bliss!

FiSH staff and trustees would like to send their heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped so much to make the event such a success.  To our garden owners, for lending their gardens to us for the day, to our fabulous volunteers for garden-sitting, cake-making, serving cream teas and Pimm’s at Barnes Green Centre, for setting up bunting and tables and chairs for everyone to sit outside and enjoy the day.  To our bus drivers for their shuttle service, to Savills and to Barnes Artists for generously sponsoring our event, to our banner-hangers and poster-deliverers, to St. John Ambulance for being with us just in case.  And, for coming and supporting us in record numbers, we’d like to thank the residents of Barnes, Mortlake, East Sheen and beyond.  THANK YOU!
