Open Gardens 2022 - Barnes
Sunday May 15th
Thank you to everyone who supported our Open Gardens afternoon this year. It was a lovely occasion despite the wet and soggy conditions! We are still adding up the takings but expect to have raised around £6.5K for FiSH.
Open Gardens always requires a cast of thousands! We are so grateful to the garden owners who generously share their lovely gardens with us; to the volunteers who sat in the gardens (and got very wet!), to those who baked all the delicious scones and cakes, poured tea and Pimm's, sold tickets and drove our shuttle buses... Thank you!
And special thanks to Auntie Planty for her gardening advice and to Winkworth Barnes who generously sponsored Barnes Open Gardens. Again, we are so grateful!
We will upload some images and memories shortly. Meanwhile, we hope to see you all in 2023 for East Sheen Open Gardens!

‘’Open Gardens is a wonderful outside community event made possible by residents kindly opening their gardens and by the army of volunteers who give up their time to make it happen. We are extremely grateful to everyone involved and particularly to Winkworth for their support as sponsors. Do come and enjoy the day!’’ Micky Forster, Director of FiSH

Thank you to the boys of St Paul's School who used their photography and technical talents to produce these videos.
Open Gardens 2020 - Barnes
We were naturally very disappointed not to be able to hold Open Gardens in 2020 as we would normally, particularly because Barnes gardens were looking absolutely lovely last year after a perfect Spring and early summer.
We were therefore delighted when the Barnes Bugle offered to make it happen for us ‘virtually’. Visitors were able to visit a wonderful collection of 30 delightful gardens online. We were very grateful to all the garden owners who participated and to FiSH volunteers who captured so many wonderful images and videos.
FiSH was also hugely indebted to Sarah Arthur, editor at The Barnes Bugle, for bringing this about through www.greatlittlewebsites.com
The Barnes Open Gardens from 2020 are still available to view online by clicking the button below.
